  Saalfeld - our hometown Saalfeld is a small town by a river named Saale in the 'Green Heart' of Thuringia, right in the middle of Germany. There are around 27000 people living here. In 1999 the city celebrated it's 1100 years of existance. One of our most famous sight are the Feengrotten, the 'most colourful grottoes in the world' as mentioned in the Guinenss Book of Records.
